Manager, Hospital Zone

UCLA Facilities Management is seeking an experienced Manager of the Hospital Zone team to manage a multi-trade staff consisting of journey-level Electricians, Plumbers, and Utilities trades responsible for the maintenance of the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center (RRMC), rated #1 medical center in the Western U.S. by U.S. News & Report’s Best Hospitals survey. The candidate will oversee services to the RRMC, including routine and preventative maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency response for all electrical, plumbing, and utility building systems. The position will also supervise services to the critical to patient care, accreditation and the emergency department/trauma center, and all Joint Commission compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of CIRA/ICRA a must.
- A four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration general safety rules, equipment, and clothing, California Administrative Codes including Titles 19, 22, and 24, and OSHPD regulations when overseeing construction projects.
- Working knowledge of IBM compatible microcomputers utilizing MS Office, Access, Excel and computerized project maintenance system (Maximo).
- Ability to follow a project or work repair “after hours” or on weekends, as needed.
